Introduction to Zhanyuan: In the second year of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1645), Zhanyuan became the left-hand administrative envoy of Jiangnan Province. Emperor Qianlong once stopped in this garden when he was touring the south of the Yangtze River, and inscribed a plaque "Looking at the Garden" with Ouyang Xiu's poem "Looking at the Jade Hall, as if it were in the sky". After returning to Beijing, Qianlong ordered the Ministry of Internal Affairs to build "Ruyuan" in the Changchun Garden of the capital, imitating Zhanyuan. Therefore, later generations said that Zhanyuan is a geomantic treasure land of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
