Introduction to Shiliang: There is a huge stone more than 10 feet long on Nanming Mountain. It is called a stone beam and is also known as "half cloud" and "hanging rainbow". The beams are covered with inscriptions by famous people. Among the inscriptions on the stone beams, the inscription by Guan Jinghui, the prefect of Chuzhou in the eighth year of Yuanyou, who repaired Tongji Weir is the most precious. The words on these inscriptions have been eroded by years of wind and rain, and have long been blurred. After Yuan Mei visited Nanming Mountain in the Qing Dynasty, he left a poem: "Several lines of Yuanyou characters have been wiped out and the remaining radicals are left." The two characters "Shiliang" have been engraved where this inscription was written.
