It is one of the oldest railway stations in Taiwan. In 1919, in order to transport materials for the construction of the Sun Moon Lake Power Plant, the Japanese colonial government built a Jiji branch line from Ershui to Shuili Township Checheng. This greatly improved Jiji's external transportation and also boosted the rural economy along the line. of prosperity. After 1986, the transportation function of railways was gradually replaced by highways. Unable to bear the serious losses of the Jiji branch line, the Taiwan Railway Administration deliberately stopped running and demolished it. Fortunately, the people in Yemen strongly opposed it and it was spared.
