It was founded in the 11th year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty and is ranked as a national third-level monument. People in Jiji often call it the Wenchang Temple. It houses the Wenchang Emperor and the Holy Master. It is an important venue for Confucius worship and cultural activities every year in Jiji Town.
