Yakushiji Temple Introduction: Yakushiji Temple was built by Emperor Tenmu in order to pray for the Queen’s early recovery from illness and is a temple dedicated to Yakushi Tathagata Buddha. Influenced by the culture of the Tang Dynasty, Yakushi Temple has preserved many precious cultural properties.
