Introduction to supersonic aircraft: Concorde is a medium-range supersonic passenger aircraft jointly developed by France Aerospace and the British Aircraft Company. The supersonic passenger aircraft that has been put into commercial use saves more than half the time compared with ordinary civil aviation passenger aircraft. Due to a major accident in 2000, Concorde never recovered and was finally retired in 2003.
