Introduction to Swayambhu Nath: Swayambhu Nath, located on a hill within the ring road on the west side of Kathmandu City, was built in the 5th century AD. It is the oldest Buddhist temple in Nepal and a famous Buddhist holy place. , commonly known as "Monky temple". The temple's large pagoda standing on the top of the mountain has a unique shape. Its architectural style is roughly similar to that of the Futunath Pagoda. Its circular base is 20 meters in diameter and the tower is 10 meters high. A pair of big eyes are painted around the base of the tower. The cone above the base is also 13 steps, with a pointed crown at the top. The surface of the pyramid cone is inlaid with copper sheets or gold foil. Its pure white pagoda base, golden pagoda body, towering canopy and treasured roof complement each other under the sunlight, making it very dazzling.
