Introduction to Mercantour National Park: Parc National du Mercantour, located on the outskirts of Nice, is one of the 9 national parks in France and was established in 1979. The park reserve covers an area of 685 square kilometers, including an uninhabited core reserve and an expansion area with 28 villages. There are more than 600 kilometers of walking trails and attract more than 800,000 tourists every year.
