Bansho introduction: Bansho, Nijo Castle in the absence of the Tokugawa generals is called Nijo, and is guarded by samurai sent by Edo. Two pairs alternate in April every year. This sentry post is one of the waiting rooms, a slender building with ten bays in front and three bays in depth.
