Introduction to Zhang San’s Shop: In June 1923, the famous French geologist and paleontologist De Chardin and Sang Zhihua lived in the “Zhang San’s Shop” in Shuidonggou. With the friendly reception and cooperation, the discovery and excavation of the Shuidonggou cultural site, which has epoch-making significance for Chinese Paleolithic archeology, began. They unearthed a total of more than 300 kilograms of stone tools and some animal fossils here, overturning the conclusion of Western scholars that "China does not have Paleolithic culture."
