Introduction to Lingguang Temple: The Lingguang Temple in Suyukou is also called the Xixia Temple. The Xixia emperors believed in Buddhism and once built religious temples. There are three theories as to which Xixia emperor built the Xixia Temple during his reign: 1. Some people say that when Yuan Hao became emperor, he took people to Suyukou for hunting and saw the Buddha's light shining under the Lingguang Pagoda. He immediately ordered the construction of a Xixia temple here; secondly, some people say that Emperor Qianshun once woke up from a dream during his reign. , saying that the Buddha asked him to build a temple at the mouth of Suyukou, so Qian Shun ordered his men to build the Xixia Temple here; third, some people say that it was built by Qian Shun's son, Emperor Renxiao, when he proclaimed himself emperor.
Later, Xixia suffered a major earthquake centered on Helan Mountain and Xingqing Prefecture and spread throughout the thirteen states and towns of Daxia. The Xixia Temple in Suyukou also collapsed in this major earthquake. The now rebuilt Xixia Temple has a unique style and shows visitors the charm of Xixia Buddhism.
