Introduction to Mao Zedong’s accommodation: In 1917, Mao Zedong and Xiao Zisheng stayed here for three days when they were on a study tour. They discussed with the abbot here about ways to save the country and the people, and they were greatly inspired, so they began to rely on the broad masses of peasants to carry out the peasant movement. Eventually the People's Republic of China was established. In 1956, when Mao Zedong met with the then Secretary of the Ningxiang County Party Committee in Changsha, he kept Miyin Temple in mind and instructed to protect it. Today, in the room where the chairman lives, the bed, quilt, and desk remain as they were then, and the Miyin Temple is also thriving.
