Introduction to lakes, deserts and sandy lands: Inner Mongolia is rich in natural resources and has diverse geological and landforms. It has four major lakes, three major deserts and three major sandy lands. The four major lakes are Dalai Lake, Dalinuoer Lake, Wuliangsuhai, and Juyanhai; the three major deserts are the Badain Jaran Desert, the Tengger Desert, and the Kubuqi Desert; and the three major sandy lands are the Mu Us Desert, the Hun Shanda Ke Sandy Land and Horqin Sandy Land.
