Introduction to Yuanguang Temple: On the Guanyin Tower is Nanwutai Yuanguang Temple, which was originally the upper courtyard of Shengshou Temple. During the late Tang Dynasty, Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, Shengshou Temple was destroyed due to military chaos. In the third year of the Taiping and Xingguo reign of the Northern Song Dynasty (978), there were six round lights on the top of Dai, and the temple was named "Wutai Mountain Round Light Temple". Since then, Shengshou Temple has been changed to the lower courtyard of Guanyintai Round Light Temple.
