Introduction to Fridtjof Nansen: Fridtjof Nansen, Norwegian explorer, scientist, state activist and Nobel Peace Prize winner. In 1888, he and five other people formed an expedition and embarked on the first polar journey. During the two subsequent explorations, they brought back very valuable information and records. After World War I, Nansen saved countless lives and made great contributions to humanitarian causes. He can be called a pioneer in the international protection of refugees.
