Introduction to the theater: The center of the village is a huge theater, with a stone road running through the center. It is unknown when it was built. According to legends of the old people, it was the site of various businesses such as the Boat Gang and the Salt Gang. The gang raised funds to build it. In my memory, it was very big. When showing 16mm movies, a screen was hung in the center of the stage, occupying only one third of it. Restaurants were built on three sides of the stage. Legend has it that all the giants of the chamber of commerce used to drink and watch plays here. From the first day of the first lunar month until early February, the play had not yet been completed. Directly opposite the stage, there is an unknown Bodhisattva. I don’t know how many actors the Bodhisattva has seen over the centuries. Since the theater is very long, children would be out of breath just running back and forth, so I thought the Bodhisattva was too far away from the stage.
