Travel guide to the ancient city of Palmyra, Syria - Avenue of Roman Columns

Introduction to the Roman Column Avenue: The Roman Column Avenue in Palmyra is 1,600 meters long from the Temple of Bel in the east to the Funerary Temple in the west. This was once the main street of the ancient city, with the Parliament, the Market and the Amphitheater on both sides of the street. The once bustling ancient city streets now only have 750 stone pillars standing on both sides of the road, showing the scenery of the past.
