Introduction to Xidakeng: On the evening of January 25, 1941 (the 28th day of the twelfth lunar month in the lunar calendar), more than 3,000 Japanese troops and more than 1,000 puppet troops stationed in 16 strongholds including Tangshan, Fengrun, and Luanxian County were stationed in Japan. Under the leadership of Commander Sasaki, they quietly drove to Panjiayu from all directions. After they entered the village, they forced more than 1,500 people in the village to gather at the West Dakeng near the village and asked them about the whereabouts of the Eighth Route Army. The masses responded to the enemy with angry silence.
