Introduction to the North and South Pavilions of Peking University: The shape, volume and color of the North and South Pavilions are exactly the same, so they are also called sister pavilions. The two pavilions stand next to each other. They are both delicate and elegant in their square shape, and graceful in their exquisiteness. They are like twin sisters who are dependent on each other, or lovers who have been together for many years. It is said that Leighton Stuart missed his two daughters who were far away across the ocean so much that he specially built two identical attics in Yanyuan to express his love. Nowadays, it has become a place for teachers and students to rest, stroll and read after class.
