Introduction to the tomb of Edgar Snow: On the southern shore of the beautiful Weiming Lake, on the mound opposite the gate of the "Tzu Chi Temple", there is a rectangular white marble tombstone with Chinese characters on it. Engraved in English are large golden characters inscribed by Comrade Ye Jianying: "American Friend of the Chinese People: Tomb of Edgar Snow 1905-1972." Here lies half of the ashes of the famous journalist and writer Edgar Snow. The cemetery faces Weiming Lake in front and a hill behind, giving it excellent Feng Shui. Spring flowers and autumn chrysanthemums, pines and cypresses are evergreen, and the surroundings are peaceful and tranquil. In spring, summer, autumn and winter, people often come here to pay their respects, and from time to time they can see flowers laid in front of the monument.
