Introduction to Guanyin Pavilion: Guanyin Pavilion (Godness of Mercy) is located on MASJID KAPITAN KELING Road in the center of George Town, Penang. It was built by the first Chinese immigrants to Penang in the 1800s. This is the oldest Chinese temple in Penang. During the birthday celebrations of Guanyin, it often attracts many faithful men and women to come and worship in tears. Guanyin Pavilion celebrates the birthday of Guanyin three times a year on the 19th day of February, June and September of the lunar calendar.
