Wat Phnom Introduction: Wat Phnom is located in the north of Phnom Penh city. It is located on the top of a hill about 100 meters high and is the highest point in Phnom Penh. It was built in the 14th century and was originally called Phnom Penh Temple, which is also the origin of Phnom Penh's place name. There are a large number of Khmer style reliefs in the temple. There are two short towers on the mountain gate, and there is a seven-headed Naga snake statue at each entrance of the mountain road. There are many Angkor-style sculptures on the handrails. The high tower on the top of the mountain is a good place to overlook Phnom Penh City.
