Introduction to Nine Colored Dragons: Pinghu Zhapu stretches for 7 kilometers from west to east, from Tangshan to Yishan, with 18 large and small hills, commonly known as "Jiulong Mountain". According to the "Nine Mountains Supplementary Records": "There are nine mountains, and Longqiu Mountain is the king." "The peaks stand near the sea, some are reflected on the sea, and there are different peaks protruding in between, like a long dragon lying on the water." According to the "Tianqi County Chronicle" of the Ming Dynasty, Longqiu Mountain, also known as Lingqiu Mountain, has Longtan and Longmu Tomb in the mountainside. It is said that it is the birthplace of Bailong.
According to this folklore, the Pinghu nine-color dragon, which is enriched and developed based on the traditional folk dragon dance, consists of a large golden dragon and 8 small dragons. The 8 small dragons are divided into red, white, black, green, etc. The 8 colors, plus the golden color of the golden dragon, are collectively called the nine-color dragon, which has a unique performance form. Today, the "Kowloon Presents Auspiciousness" dragon dance based on the local legend of "Eight Dragons Chaomu" has become well-known throughout the country and has become a unique cultural brand of Pinghu.
