Introduction to the Twelve Flower God Dance: The "Twelve Flower God Dance" is a sacrificial dance performed during the Lunar New Year to pray for a good harvest. It is a unique folk dance form in Pinghu.
The performers of the "Twelve Flower Gods Dance" wear flowers with the names of December flowers on their heads and hold flowers in their hands to represent the twelve flower gods. They dance slowly to the accompaniment of gongs and drums, using circles, jumps, and body movements. Marching ups and downs, using dramatic steps, fast steps, slow dances, walking turns, etc., the performance is performed in a variety of dance postures, which has a unique charm. The number of performers is generally no less than 12, which can be increased or decreased according to actual conditions. The best combination is male and female. In 1991, 40 people performed the "Twelve Flower Goddess Dance" in Quantang Town and participated in the folk dance performance in the square where Pinghu County was established as a city.
