Introduction to the Victory Gate: Two 12-meter-high columns made of five kinds of red granite form the Victory Gate. On the top of the columns stand two 4.7-meter-high soldiers of the Northeast Field Army of the People's Liberation Army and the North China Military Region troops, firing guns to celebrate victory. The forged bronze statue symbolizes the soldiers and civilians of Northeast China and North China working together to win the victory in the Battle of Peking and Tianjin.
