Introduction to Shuanglin Temple: Shuanglin Temple was built in the second year of Wuping in the Northern Qi Dynasty (AD 571). It faces south and covers an area of about 15,000 square meters. It is divided into two parts: east and west. In the west is the temple, with three courtyards located along the central axis, consisting of ten halls. The front yard is the Sakyamuni Hall, the Arhat Hall, the Wusheng Hall, the Earth Hall, the Yama Hall and the Heavenly King Hall; the middle yard is the Mahavira Hall and the Thousand Buddha Hall and the Bodhisattva Hall on both sides; the back yard is the Empress Hall and the Zhenyi Temple. In the east are the monastery, sutra room, etc. There are more than 2,000 colored sculptures from the Yuan Dynasty to the Ming Dynasty (13th to 17th centuries AD) preserved in the ten main halls of the temple, which are known as the "treasure house of colored sculpture art".
