Introduction to Qingxu Temple: Qingxu Temple is located in the north of the east section of East Street. It was originally called Taiping Temple. It was built during the reign of Emperor Gaozong of the Tang Dynasty. It faces north and faces south, with three courtyards in front and back, covering a total area of 5890.9 square meters. Qingxu Temple is the largest Taoist temple in the ancient city of Pingyao. It is symmetrically distributed around the central axis, has a magnificent appearance and rich connotations. There are 8 painted clay sculptures from the Yuan Dynasty existing in the temple, and 30 tablets (square) from Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties.
