Punakha Dzong Introduction: Punakha Dzong is the most beautiful temple in Bhutan. Punakha was once the capital of Bhutan. Due to the mild climate here, royal family members generally moved here in winter, and it is known as the "Punakha Winter Palace". Punakha Monastery is one of the most famous religious holy places in Bhutan. It was built in 1637 AD by King Shabudong I. The temple is located at the confluence of Fuqu River and Muqu River. The clear river passes through the temple. A kind of purple flowers bloom all over the treetops, and the environment is as beautiful as a fairyland.
