Introduction to the Ancestral Hall: The Ancestral Hall, commonly known as the Tashan Tong Ancestral Hall, was built in the 18th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty. It was built by Tong Xianmu and her sons Boli and Boqian, and was designed by Fang Xiaoru. The ancestral hall consists of a stage gate, stage, patio, main hall and east and west wing rooms, covering an area of 1.2 acres. The main hall has three rooms and two lanes. It is 13.5 meters wide and 8.4 meters deep. It is deep, wide and noble. There are thirty-two Tang Dynasty drum-shaped pillars in the hall. The center pillar is 5.6 meters high and the eaves pillars are 2.6 meters high. The thirty-two columns symbolize the thirty-two Fang sects of the Tong family. Each Fang sect also has thirty-two small ancestral halls, which are symmetrical to the large ancestral hall, forming a chess game.
