Introduction to the new courtyard: The new courtyard of the fourth courtyard was built in the 10th year of the Republic of China (1920). It is a three-yard double-span quadrangle. This courtyard is the residence of Qiao Zhiyong’s grandson Qiao Yinxia. What is displayed in the museum is "Folk Customs" Display" and exhibits reflecting "business customs" are also called the Business Customs Academy. The scene where the third concubine hangs herself in the movie "Raise the Red Lantern" was shot here.
The living room in the square of the new courtyard is where Cai Dong and the accountant discuss matters. There is a chair in the hall, with Cai Dong Qiao Yinxia in the middle, the accountant sitting on the left, and the clerk standing next to him, equivalent to the chairman, manager, and secretary. There is a mirror, four bottles, and the Eight Immortals table underneath, which represent calmness and stability when discussing business.
