Introduction to Qihou Fort: Qihou Fort is located on the top of the hillside of Qihou Mountain in the Cijin Peninsula. It was built in 1875 (the first year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty) to guard the entrance and exit of Kaohsiung Port. The entire flag-back fort can be roughly divided into three areas: the north area is the training ground, the middle area is the command area, and the southern area is the barracks. In 1985 (the 74th year of the Republic of China), the Ministry of Interior of Taiwan Province announced it as a second-class historic site.
