Introduction to Shanghuang Temple: Shanghuang Temple was built by Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty when he was avoiding the Anshi Rebellion. Xuanzhen Temple was renamed "Shanghuang Temple", and the true face of Xuanzong was painted with a wonderful pen and enshrined in Shanghuang Temple. This is the origin of Shanghuang Temple.
In ancient times, the Imperial Temple was built and destroyed many times during the Five Dynasties, Song Dynasty, and Yuan Dynasty. By the end of the Ming Dynasty, it was a barren mountain and the buildings were basically gone. It was rebuilt in the 58th year of Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty and was expanded during the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty. During the excavation of the foundation, a Feilong iron tripod was unearthed. It is 1.6 meters high and weighs about a thousand feet. It has exquisite casting craftsmanship and was an old possession of Princess Yuzhen of Tang Dynasty and Princess Jinhua. In the Shanghuang Temple, there are ancient trees such as the 500-year-old Seven Star Camellia, Gongsun Orange, Ginkgo, and Laurel that bloom all year round. There is still one ancient fir tree planted by Princesses Tang Yuzhen and Jinhua, and it is still flourishing.
