Introduction to the South Africa Pavilion: South African wine has a wine-making history of more than 300 years, and due to the earlier grape planting season, new wine is put on the shelves 6 months earlier than in Europe. The production area extends from the north of the Atlantic coast to the desert, with approximately 340 wine cellars and wineries. There are five grape-growing regions in Cape: coast, oifanta river, boberg, breede valley and klein and karoo regions, as well as Orange River vineyard and Loopspruit wine region.
