Introduction to the Heavenly King's Hall: The Heavenly King's Hall is located in the second courtyard. Maitreya Bodhisattva is enshrined in the hall, with the four heavenly kings on the left and right. The four heavenly kings are commonly known as the four kings. The instruments they hold in their hands symbolize "good weather, peace and prosperity for the country and the people". Behind Maitreya Bodhisattva, holding the demon-conquering pole is the Dharma Protector General Wei Tuo Bodhisattva. He faces Sakyamuni in the Mahavira Hall, meaning to enforce the law, protect the Dharma, and drive out evil spirits.
