Introduction to Liu Wencheng Temple: Liu Ji, courtesy name Bowen, was born in Wuyang Village, Nantian, Qingtian County in 1311 AD. He studied under Zheng Fuchu at Shimendong at the age of 14, and passed the Jinshi examination at the age of 23, but later gave up because of his unwillingness. The official returned to seclusion and was posthumously named "Wen Chenggong" after his death. Therefore, some people respectfully call him "Liu Wencheng". This place used to be the Shimendong Tianlou. In the Ming Dynasty (1525), Liu Ji Temple was built. The current temple was rebuilt in the 22nd year of the Republic of China (1933).
