Introduction to Xianren Gorge: It is one of the narrowest sections in Wanquan Lake District, with jungle cliffs on both sides, green peaks and boundless scenery. According to legend, over the past five thousand years, the land god moved a mountain to cut off the Wanquan River. The river stopped flowing, the fertile fields downstream cracked, and grain harvests failed. The people were so hungry and thirsty that they killed pigs and sheep, burned incense and worshiped the gods. Pray to the gods for rain to benefit the people. After learning about it, the Heavenly Mother sent King Tota down to earth to inspect the people's situation. She found out that it was the land god who was causing trouble and blocking the mountain from the Wanquan River. So she roared, raised her foot and stamped the mountain in half, and the river flowed with it. It went down and benefited the people, so people called her Xianren Gorge.
