Introduction to Liu Xiutiao: There is a deep gorge on the mountain called "Liu Xiutiao", where the mountain trail becomes a dead end. Legend has it that when Wang Mang chased Liu Xiu, Wang Mang camped here, which is Wangmangling, while Liu Xiu camped on the lonely mountain opposite, which is called Liuxiucheng. One night Liu Xiu came to Wang Mang's military camp to spy on the military situation. Unexpectedly, he was discovered by Wang Mang's soldiers and chased him here. When Liu Xiu fled here, he saw the road ahead was cut off by a cliff and a deep gorge, with enemy soldiers chasing after him. At this critical moment, the only way to survive was to jump over the other side. In desperation, he jumped up and jumped over. Because of the different life and death situations, no one of Wang Mang's soldiers dared to jump, so they could only watch Liu Xiu escape back to Liu Xiucheng. After Liu Xiu returned, he devised a clever plan to use "hanging sheep and beating drums" to fake the momentum of the attack to confuse the enemy. However, he secretly escaped from the "breaking ladder" to Kunyang, Henan (today's Ye County, Henan), where he gathered and strengthened his army. force. Afterwards, the famous "Battle of Kunyang" in which a small number defeated a large number was performed, and Wang Mang's main force was eliminated. He pursued the victory and finally overthrew Wang Mang's regime, established the Eastern Han Dynasty, and ushered in the prosperous era of "Guangwu Zhongxing". Later generations lamented that the success or failure of a person, the rise or fall of a regime, often depends on one or several steps at a critical moment.
