Mural introduction: The walls and ceilings of the castle's living room and bathroom are covered with murals in the early Islamic art style, most of which reflect Arabian mythological themes, including hunting, musicians, muses, lovers, craftsmen and people. There are images of people leading camels, etc., as well as Byzantine emperors, Visigothic kings, Sasanian Persian emperors, Abyssinian kings, etc. There are also many praising the great power of the caliphate. These murals are unique to Qusayr Amra and are extremely rare in other desert palaces. They were probably made by Syrian or Arab craftsmen and play an extraordinary role in studying the characteristics of the early stages of the development of Islamic art history.
