Introduction to the Red Detachment of Women: On May 1, 1931, the Women's Army Special Agent Company (the Red Detachment of Women) of the Third Regiment of the Second Independent Division of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army was established in Lehui County (today's Qionghai City). There are a total of 100 people in the three platoons of the company. Except for the porters and buglers, all of them are women. The Detachment Company successively participated in the battles of attacking Wenshi, Xuedao, Zhongbai, and demarcation, and cooperated with the main force of the Third Red Regiment in tactfully and flexibly. In 1932, the Qiongya Special Committee of the Communist Party of China established the Second Company of the Women's Army Special Agent Company. During Qiongya's second anti-"encirclement and suppression" campaign, some of the commanders and fighters of the Detachment of Women's Army died heroically, while others were separated and arrested. The first and second companies of the Detachment of Women's Army were disbanded successively. Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai spoke highly of the Red Detachment of Women and praised it as "a model of world revolution."
