Introduction to Sismondo Castle: The only remaining part of Sismondo Castle (Sismondo castel) was built in 1437. The original plan was to build the castle as a fortress with a drawbridge around it. After the infamous reign of Sigismundo, it was also called Malatesta Fortress.
