Introduction to the Arc de Triomphe: The Arc de Triomphe is 27 meters high and is located near Herastrau Park in the city center. It was built in 1922 by Petre Autonescu to commemorate the victory of the Allies in World War I, the birth of the Greater Romania state, and the coronation of King Ferdinand and Queen Maria. During 1935 the Arc de Triomphe was restored.
