Introduction to the Basilica of Our Lady of Angels and Martyrs: The Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri (Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri) was renovated from the cold baths of the Baths of Diocletian and was built by Michelangelo in 1563. Because the master passed away in 1564, the entrance to the church was built on the ruins of the bathhouse. Although it is a bit crude, it is a unique work of art.
