Introduction to the Church of St. Augustus: The Church of St. Augustus (Chiesa di Sant’agostino) was the first church built in Rome during the Renaissance. Its facade was built in 1483 using marble dismantled from the Colosseum. The Baroque painting of the Ponte Cavalla is the most famous work of art in the church.
