Introduction to Ponte Sant'Angelo: Ponte Sant`Angelo, also known as Hadrian's Bridge (Pons Aelius), was built by the Roman Emperor Hadrian in 134 AD. The surface of the bridge is paved with marble and has three arches; there are many masterpieces of Baroque decorative art on both sides, two of which were designed by Gianluigi Bernini himself.
