Introduction to St. Paul's Church outside the city: St. Paul's Church within the city, or San Paolo fuori le Mura (San Paolo fuori le Mura), was built in AD 64. It has been expanded and destroyed several times. In front of the church stands a statue of St. Paul holding a sword, and above the front is a 19th-century mosaic. Below the canopy of the main altar in the church is St. Paul's tomb, and there is also a mosaic above the altar. The south side of the church is connected to the monastery, which was once called "one of the most beautiful buildings in the Middle Ages" and has various beautiful columns.
