Introduction to the Winter Palace: The Winter Palace faces the Palace Square and the Neva River. The building is three stories high, about 230 meters long, 140 meters wide and 22 meters high. It is a closed rectangle with a slightly protruding center and blue and white surfaces on all sides. Each has its own characteristics, but the interior design and decoration style are strictly unified. It is an outstanding example of Russian Baroque architecture in the mid-18th century.
The Winter Palace is surrounded by two rows of majestic colonnades, with three arched iron doors on the front and a giant statue of Atlas at the entrance; the interior halls are mostly inlaid with marble, malachite, azurite, spotted stone and jasper. , decorated with gold and copper plating, and decorated with sculptures, murals, and embroidered curtains of various textures, making it colorful and magnificent. The parquet floor in the hall is bright and eye-catching, the artistic furniture is exquisite and durable, and there are about 400 pieces of various gem vases, gem-encrusted floor lamps and tables.
