Introduction to the fourth wooden archway: Pass through the theater building and come to the middle courtyard. The fourth wooden archway is located in the middle courtyard and is the largest one in the whole temple. This archway was first built in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty (1588) and the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty. After three years of reconstruction, it is 13 meters high, 13.1 meters long and 4.7 meters wide. It is a three-eaves mountain-style building. The triangular support body composed of four through columns and eight side columns ensures the stability of the archway. The dougong structure overlaps, and 58 lifelike children are carved on the heads. The forehead square, hanging drop, flower board and other components are engraved with the story of the Eight Immortals crossing the sea.
