Introduction to residential buildings: The residential buildings in the city basically retain their appearance during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Centered on the former Qianhusuo Yamen site, three main streets were built in the east, west and south directions, forming the main skeleton of the town. The three streets are divided into six lanes, and the streets and lanes divide the entire city into nine relatively independent residential areas, which are commonly known locally as "three streets, six lanes, and nine yards." The streets are paved with cobblestones to form a turtle-back-shaped flower street pavement, inlaid with various patterns, mostly with earthworms and ancient coins.
