Introduction to the Ceremonial Hall: The Ceremonial Hall was mainly used for small celebrations in Maria Theresa's time, such as weddings and christenings. The series of huge oil paintings in this hall record the wedding ceremony of Maria Theresa's eldest son Joseph and Princess Isabella of Parma. The largest oil painting in the hall shows the spectacular scene of the bride's 98 ceremonial cars entering Vienna. Each car has the emblem of a different noble, representing the largest nobles in Europe at that time.
