Introduction to the ancient city wall: The ancient city wall is located along the Jiading moat. It was built in the Song Dynasty and surrounded the ancient city of Jiading. It was built in the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. The total length of the preserved ancient city wall is 240 meters. On the left and right, it is 4 meters high and 3 meters wide. It is divided into two sections, the south gate and the west gate. It is the most complete and longest ancient city wall in Shanghai. The ancient city walls located at the south gate and west gate are about 120 meters long respectively. The city walls are hidden, tall and straight, covered with moss and lush green. They have gone through many vicissitudes and witnessed the history of Jiacheng during the "Three Massacres of Jiading" and "Resistance to Japanese Bandits". It was listed as a cultural relic protection building in 2000.
